Beta Zeta Zeta Education Foundation Programming

Scholarships: The Beta Zeta Zeta Education Foundation, Inc. currently provides scholarship opportunities to women seeking higher education. Each year the Foundation awards the Doris Larkin McAdams Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship provides tuition assistance to a graduating senior attending a four-year college or university. The Foundation also provides funding for Wilma E. Lacy Memorial Scholarship , established to provide tuition assistance to a non-traditional college student. The Foundation’s goal is to provide scholarship opportunities for all students, both young men and young women seeking to further their education. The scholarships will be funded via the philanthropic efforts of the Foundation and its partners.

Zeta Youth Auxiliary: The Foundation supports the educational program efforts of the Zeta Phi Beta Youth Auxiliary (ZYA) groups. Youth Groups consist of youth pre-kindergarten to grade 12, who have become identified with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and its ideals.  These groups, recognized by the names Pearlettes (ages 4-8), Amicettes (9-13) and Archonettes (ages 14-18) are organized under BZZ. These groups will focus on improving educational, community service, social justice, and leadership skills. These educational programs occur anytime throughout the year in the Greater Cincinnati area. These programs will align with the programmatic thrust of the ZYA and allow the Foundation to provide education to girls and young women as outlined by the Foundation’s purpose.

Finer Womanhood Program: Each year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority celebrates its unique principle of Finer Womanhood, traditionally during the month of March. The Beta Zeta Zeta chapter is not no exception. As part of this celebration, academic scholarships are awarded to qualified students along with other awards such as Woman or Organization of the Year, Beta Zeta Zeta Chapter Member of the Year and Beta Zeta Zeta New Member of the year and other various chapter award recognition.  This program typically provides a message of empowerment to women. The Foundation will continue this relationship with BZZ to continue its programmatic thrust.

Educational Programming: The BZZEF plans to work with local organizations to provide educational programs to women and girls in the Greater Cincinnati area. These programs may include Self Defense and Awareness programs, Finance Management and health and wellness initiatives. The Foundation will work closely with the Beta Zeta Zeta chapter to execute these programs.

In conjunction with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Zeta Zeta Chapter, the Foundation annually supports the March of Dimes’ March For Babies and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk American Cancer Society’s Susan G Komen Foundation Race for a Cure.  Each November, the chapter partners with the international organization Samaritan’s Purse and their Operation Christmas Child (OCC) program. The OCC service consists of packing donated educational, personal items and toys in shoe boxes full of Christmas gifts for varying aged children all over the world.
